The section on criminal justice asked three questions:
- Should funding be diverted from local police departments to bolster community programs?
- Should state and federal corrections agencies outsource to private institutions? (private prisons)
- Do you support the death penalty, once all routes of appeal have been exhausted?
The first question asked about diverting funds from local police departments to community programs. Calls for action such as this have increased greatly in recent years, and are usually supported by more liberal-leaning individuals. The results for this survey question fell roughly on party lines, with 82.3% of those who stated they vote Democrat choosing "Yes", and 71.4% of those who stated they vote Republican choosing "No".

This question regarded private prisons, and saw disapproval from both sides of the aisle. Typically a matter supported by conservatives, it did not receive much support in this survey. Of those who stated that they vote Democrat, not a single respondent chose "Yes". Looking at those who stated they vote Republican, only 42.9% chose "Yes", with the others choosing either "Neutral" or "No"

This question fell almost perfectly along party lines, except for a few outliers. Of those who stated they vote Democrat, 88.2% chose "No". Of those who stated they vote Republican, 78.6% chose "Yes". While responses can vary based on moral grounds, conservatives generally support the death penalty, while liberals oppose it.
