The section on firearms asked two questions:
- Should the second amendment to the U.S. Constitution remain in place?
- Should there be more restrictions on the process of purchasing a firearm in the United States?
Firearm rights tend to be issues that conservatives support, and the data from the survey shows that. In response to the first question, regarding whether the second amendment should remain in place, 92.9% of those who stated they vote Republican chose "Yes". Among those who stated they vote Democrat results were relatively evenly split. 38.2% chose "Yes", and 41.2% chose "No.
For the second question, "Yes" was the majority response across the board, yet individual responses fell more closely along party lines. While 94.1% of those who stated they vote Democrat chose "Yes", only 28.6% of those who stated they vote Republican chose "Yes".
